Medical Waste Management

In conclusion :

The management of medical waste is a critical aspect of healthcare that ensures the
safety of patients, healthcare workers, and the environment.
Through this lecture, you have gained a comprehensive understanding of the types, risks, and proper handling of medical waste.
You have learned about the importance of segregation, treatment, and disposal methods, and the application of these practices in real-world scenarios.

Family Planning & Public Health

Please keep in mind that :

Family planning is the ability of individuals and couples to decide freely and
responsibly the number, spacing and timing of their children and to have
the information and means to do so.
Family planning promotes self-actualisation, empowerment, as well as health and well-being, and reduces maternal and infant deaths through the prevention of unintended pregnancy and unsafe abortion.
Family planning services include providing access to a range of safe and
effective contraceptive methods, counselling and education, pre-conception care,
screening and treatment of STIs-SRDs,infertility services, safe abortion care and
post-abortion care.
Family planning is a cost-effective public health intervention that can reduce maternal mortality by 25% and neonatal mortality by 15%.
It can also reduce the transmission of HIV and other STIs, prevent adolescent pregnancies, improve women’s education and employment opportunities, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Medical Law

The branch of Medical Law that deals with the application of medical knowledge to legal problems. While the Medical Law covers an area of regulations relating to the medical operations, the industry operators, the procedures involved in the medical operations, characteristics of medical experts performing medical operations, as well as the relations that occurred while performing medical activities.

The Health Law regulates a wide area of activities, not only medical activities, but also the procedures that are being implemented, the need and necessity of the procedure, professionals who carry out the procedure.

meaning ‘above all do no harm’, is the foundation stone of medical treatment and
non-malfeasance imposes a duty upon the medical professional

Health law is a field of law in the US that encompasses -federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations- and other jurisprudence among providers, payers and vendors to the health care industry and its patients,

– and delivery of care services, with an emphasis on operations, regulatory and transactional issues.

Health indicators provide comparable and actionable information a cross different geographic, organizational or administrative boundaries and/or can track progress over time.

Health indicators support provinces/territories, regional health authorities and institutions as they monitor the health of their populations and track how well their local health systems function.

They help in monitoring key performance dimensions described in the Health System Performance Measurement Framework, which provides a common approach for managing

Ethics : Moral principles that govern a person’s behaviour or the conducting of an activity. «Medical ethics also enter into the question”

Ethics : The branch of knowledge that deals with moral principles. «Neither metaphysics nor ethics is the home of religion..»

“Morality“; social order rules that regulate the behavior patterns that people have to obey in a society.
Ethics; it is all of the moral principles that are the basis of one’s behavior. In other words, Ethical people; they are guiding values, principles and standards that help determine “how things should be done.”

Health is fundamental for a good quality of life.
Being free from illness or injury, directly affects our capacity to enjoy life.
And a healthy – well trained communtiy is a must for global welfare & development.

Ethics is one of the first 4 basic areas of philosophy:

Philosophy of Existency (Ontology),
Philosophy of Knowledge (Epistemology),
Logic and
Ethics.

Radiation & Health

Radiation can damage the DNA in our cells.
High doses of radiation can cause
Acute Radiation Syndrome (ARS) or Cutaneous Radiation Injuries (CRI).
High doses of radiation could also lead to cancer later in life.
Radiation is invisible and odorless!
The waste can remain radioactive for a few hours or several months or even
hundreds of thousands of years.

Urgent actions are required both in Turkiye and at global scale.

The motto of “Sustainable development” is no longer up to date..

Mankind, as compulsory parasite on the Earth, has to fight for “SUSTAINABLE LIFE” (survival) on our poor Planet !

“Homo sapiens” must now evolve into “Homo environmentum” by an evolutionary leap.

There are no more keys to “sustainable life” on this planet!

Consecutive disasters are next!

This determination is not ours, it is from the G20 summit final declaration.. about 2 years ago.
Similar warnings are also included in the COP-27 declaration.
